New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NB-PNP)
To qualify for the Business Applicants component of the NB-PNP, an applicant
- be between 22-55 years of age;
- have a score of at least 5 on the Canadian Language Benchmark Test (CLB) in speaking, listening, reading and writing competencies in English or French
- have completed a minimum of two years of full-time post-secondary education after completing high school;
- have a verifiable personal net worth of at least CAD $600,000 of which CAD $300,000 must be liquid and unencumbered funds;
- have at least three out of five years of experience in managing and owning a business (at least have 33.33% ownership)
OR
have five years out of five of experience in a senior business management role or more;
- want to live permanently in New Brunswick, while owning and managing a local business;
- be able to invest at least $250,000 CAD of your own funds to establish a business in NB
- must make a CAD$100,000 conditionally refundable deposit without interest with NB Government prior to nomination
How to Apply
Management Experience:
Your management experience could be as a senior executive or business owner. To prove you have a successful management experience, you can provide but not limited to:
- Certificates of experience
- Copies of business licenses
- Copies of company information such as financial statements
- Detailed information of company ownership
Applicant must supervise at least 2 people, and the company that is not owned or operated by a government or voluntary sectors
Personal Net Worth CAD$600,000 with Liquid Assets of CAD$300,000:
You must provide proof of how you obtained your Net Worth, by providing:
- Current Bank Certification Letter
- Evidence of Savings Balance
- Fixed or term deposit statement
- Evidence of Public Trade Stock (if applicable)
- Real Property Title deed; Assessment, and other relevant requested documents
- Financial Statement of your business to shows its value
You must have investment funds of CAD$250,000 to start your business venture without third party assistance.
Inheritances, donations and gifts received less than 6 months before the application is received will not consider eligible towards the Applicant’s Net Worth
Business Plan:
You are required to establish a business in NB. You need to
- pursue a business that matches with your business skills/background
- participate in the business in an active managerial role
- invest minimum of CAD$250,000
EOI Assessment Point Form:
The Maximum Point on EOI is 100, minimum 65 points required. There are six areas with associated points:
1. Age
2. Language
3. Education
4. Business ownership, or senior management experience
5. Business plan – economic benefit to New Brunswick
6. Adaptability – Spouse or Common-law partner
Language:
- Must provide a valid International English Language Testing System (IELTS General) test result, must achieve CLB 5 in each category of reading, writing, listening and speaking
- The Language test results must not be more than 18 months old as of the date an application number is assigned by the NBPNP
